On Wednesday, September 24, the Des Moines Register hosted its 2025 Top Workplaces event.

Out of 4,528 nominations, 149 companies were recognized as an Iowa Top Workplace—and IIC proudly placed in the Top 50! Even more exciting, this marks our third year in a row being recognized.

IIC honored as a 2025 Top Workplace in St. Louis

IIC was excited to win 2^nd place (small company category) in the annual St. Louis Post Dispatch “best places to work” competition, with the announcement being made on June 18^th at the awards ceremony. There were 76 companies in the small category, so IIC was super-excited to be ranked #2 as the best place to work. We are proud about what we do and how we do it, and this positivity shows through our employees! Way to go IIC!!

We are excited to welcome Trent Small to the IIC team. Trent has over 17 years of experience in production agriculture.

Most of his career has been spent in various roles within business development, sales, marketing, product development and team management.

His most recent role was with our sister company, Green Field Solutions, as the Director of Sales and Operations.

Newly Acquired Cresco, Iowa Facility

We are excited to provide an update regarding our newest IIC facility in Cresco, Iowa, acquired from AVEKA in March of 2024. The facility is a great addition to our portfolio of facilities (now totally 11) with both spray drying and roller drying capabilities. IIC began an immediate 9-month renovation of the facility, and we are pleased that commercial production has begun at the start of this year. The first product out the door is a beautiful spray-dried cheese powder, with additional products to follow soon. Thanks to our team at Cresco, Iowa!

Dr. Katie Barry’s New Position with IIC

We are happy to announce Dr. Katie Barry has accepted a new position within International Ingredient Corporation as Global Quality and Nutrition Manager.

Dr. Barry’s expertise in animal nutrition, knowledge of regulatory and product registration requirements, and experience with manufacturing processes will be valuable tools for her success.

This is an important role for our company as we continue to grow and accommodate the needs of our customers around the world.

IIC Nutrition Advisory Board Update

We are excited to welcome Dr. Joao Costa from the University of Vermont, and Dr. Barry Bradford from Michigan State University as our newest advisors on the IIC Nutrition Advisory Board. Dr. Costa brings extensive Calf Health and Nutrition experience to the board, while Dr. Bradford brings a rich background in Dairy Cattle Nutrition. The IIC Nutrition Advisory Board is comprised of leading university animal scientists, to conduct research and exchange technical ideas regarding the best utilization of food industry co-products in the production of specialty feed ingredients. We are excited to have Dr. Costa and Dr. Bradford join our robust group of expert advisors.
